30 weeks!

OK, so this picture is from 29 weeks.  I am too lazy to take another one tonight.  I also like it because my face is slightly less moon-shaped than usual.  My feet were HUGE our whole vacation and you can definitely tell! 

General update:  Midwife was here today.  I officially passed the gestational diabetes test!  What a relief not to have to do the 3-hour one.  My iron was a little low, which she said was a good indication that my blood volume is increasing properly.  She recommended a liquid supplement.  My white blood cell count was a little high, but since I had been sick she was not concerned.  I am finally feeling better!  She was not 100% sure (stupid anterior placenta) but the baby *seems* to be head down.  If she can't tell next time she will send me for an ultrasound.  My blood pressure continues to be excellent and she said my uterus was toning up nicely in response to her touch.

We had a fantastic week in Punta Cana.  I highly recommend the Hard Rock Hotel.  It was a huge resort with something like 14 pools, lots of restaurants, and lots to do.  I went to the spa, swam, and just relaxed.  it was just what I needed and we are seriously considering going back next year.  There were a number of families with little kids there who seemed to be having a good time.   The weather was just perfect, 82 and sunny every single day.


How far along? 29 weeks, 6 days.




Maternity clothes? Yep.  I might need to buy some underwear.


Stretch marks? Maaaaybe getting a couple low on my belly.  Hard to say, but I'm keeping my eye out.


Sleep? Pretty good.  I wake up sometimes for a few minutes, and today I woke up at 7 for no reason, but overall I can't complain.


Food cravings: None.


Gender: Still thinking it's a girl.



Belly button in or out? In.


Movement? Yes, but decreasing again as the baby seems to be head-down.



What I miss? Not grunting while moving around on the couch or bed.



What I'm looking forward to: Baby shower is on Saturday.  Eek!


Milestones: Passing the GD test.
